Abstract
This research aims to increase children's sensitivity to the environment, especially to the benefits of the environment such as wind which can potentially be a source of energy to facilitate human life. The exploration-discovery method with a controlled discovery environment in this study was used as an action. This study uses a class action research design. Data collection techniques by way of observation and interviews. From the data processing it was found that the average sensitivity of children as indicated by a measure of understanding of the wind sub-theme was 65.50 in cycle I with classical learning mastery of 76%, 13 children completed and 4 incomplete. Results In cycle II there was an increase, namely to an average of 80.35, 16 children completed, less 1 person completed from 17 children. The classical completeness level is 94%. Corrective actions that were lacking in cycle I succeeded in increasing the number of students who completed from 76% to 94%, meaning that there was an 18% increase in the number of children. It can be concluded, the exploration-discovery method with a controlled discovery environment can increase children's sensitivity to their environment.
