Author Guidelines
The Proceedings of the International Conference on Interdisciplinary Studies (ICIS) publishes original, high-quality papers resulting from research, conceptual studies, and best practices presented at the ICIS Conference. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
1. Scope of Manuscripts
Submitted manuscripts should align with the focus and scope of ICIS, including but not limited to interdisciplinary studies in education, social sciences, technology, environmental studies, sustainability, artificial intelligence in education, social studies education, history and culture, socio-anthropological studies, and other relevant interdisciplinary fields.
2. Manuscript Originality
Manuscripts must be original works of the authors. All submissions will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin, and manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% will be rejected without review.
3. Manuscript Preparation
-
Manuscripts should be prepared using the ICIS Proceedings template.
-
The length of the manuscript is typically 6–12 pages, including references.
-
The paper should be structured as follows: Title, Author(s) and Affiliation(s), Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
-
Abstracts should be written in English with a maximum of 250 words, followed by 3–5 keywords.
-
References should follow the APA (7th edition) citation style.
4. Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted online through the ICIS Proceedings Open Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to register and log in before submitting their manuscripts. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines or template will be returned for revision.
5. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process conducted by reviewers with relevant expertise. The editorial board reserves the right to accept, request revisions, or reject manuscripts based on reviewers’ recommendations.
6. Publication Ethics
Authors are expected to adhere to ethical standards in academic publishing, including proper citation, avoidance of plagiarism, data fabrication, and redundant publication. Any violation of publication ethics will result in rejection or retraction of the article.
7. Copyright and Open Access
Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the ICIS Proceedings the right of first publication. All published articles are made available as open access to support the global exchange of knowledge.
