About the Journal
Journal of Digital Business and Technology (JDBT) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Digital Business Study Program, Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The journal serves as a scholarly platform for the dissemination of high-quality research that examines the integration of digital technology with business, management, and organizational practices in contemporary contexts.
JDBT publishes original empirical research and conceptual papers that explore how digital technologies shape business models, strategies, and operational processes. The journal particularly encourages studies that address digital transformation, technology adoption, and innovation across various business functions, including marketing, entrepreneurship, human resources, and finance in digital environments.
The scope of JDBT covers, but is not limited to, digital business strategy, digital marketing and e-commerce, digital platforms and ecosystems, digital entrepreneurship and start-ups, financial technology and digital financial services, data analytics for business decision-making, human resource management in digital contexts, and Industry 4.0-related issues.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic rigor, relevance to the journal’s scope, and ethical research standards. JDBT is published twice a year (January and June) and provides open access to all published articles to support the global exchange of knowledge in digital business and technology.

Focus and Scope
JDBT welcomes manuscripts in, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Digital business strategy,
- Digital marketing and e-commerce,
- Digital platforms and ecosystems,
- Digital entrepreneurship and start-ups,
- Financial technology and digital financial services,
- Data analytics for business decision-making,
- Human resource management in digital contexts,
- Technology adoption in business,
- Issues related to Industry 4.0 and emerging digital technologies.
Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each submission is initially evaluated by the editorial team to ensure alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, originality, and compliance with ethical standards, including plagiarism screening with a maximum similarity threshold of 20%.
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Reviewers assess submissions based on scientific contribution, methodological soundness, originality, clarity of analysis, and relevance of references. The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations.
Publication Frequency
JDBT is published twice a year. (January and June).
Open Access Policy
JDBT provides immediate open access to all published articles. This policy is based on the principle that free access to research enhances the global exchange of knowledge and supports the advancement of science and practice in digital business and technology.
