Pengaruh Metode Discovery Learning terhadap Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VII SMP Islam Ar-rofi’iyyah

Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Discovery Learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Ar-rofi’iyyah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Ar-rofi’iyyah yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dengan sampel 58 siswa yang terdiri dari 29 siswa kelas VIIE sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 29 siswa kelas VIID sebagai kelas kontrol.. Instrument pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrument test dan non test. Instrumen test digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar peserta didik dalam materi penyajian data dengan menggunakan metode Discovery Learning, sedangkan instrument non-test digunakan untuk mengukur motivasi siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika. Instrument test yang digunakan berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal dan instrument non-test berupa angket motivasi siswa terhadap matematika. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan post test yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan bantuan SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai sig > 0,05 yang berarti bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh metode Discovery Learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract
The pupose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning method on the motivation and learning outcomes of VII grade students of Ar-rofi’iyyah Islamic Junior High Scool of 5 clasess. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling with a sample of 58 students consisting of 29 students of class VIIE as the experimental class and 29 sudents of class VIID as the control class. The data collection instruments used in this study were test and non-test instruments! The test instrument is used to measure student learning outcomes in the data presentation material using the Discovery Learning mathematics. The test instrument used in the form of multiple choice questions as many 20 questions and a non-test instrument in the form of a student motivation questionnaire for mathematics. Data collection in this study used a post test which was then analyzed using SPSS version 22. The results showed a sig value > 0,05 which means that Ho is rejected andHa is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Discovery Learning method on motivation and learning outcomes of mathematics student.
