Peran Guru IPS dalam Menanamkan Sikap Empati dan Kepedulian Sosial Siswa Kelas XI MA Sunan Ampel Kamalkuning Krejengan Probolinggo

Abstrak
Latar belakang Penelitian ini ialah Pendidikan moral yang menjadi wadah dalam mencetak generasi penerus bangsa yang memiliki budi pekerti yang baik. Nilai-nilai tradisi yang menjunjung tinggi akan moralitas saat ini sudah sedikit demi sedikit mulai bergeser seiring adanya dampak dari era globalisasi dan teknologi. Penelitian ini mempunya tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana peran guru ips dalam menanamkan sikap empati dan kepedulian sosial siswa di MA Sunan Ampel Kamalkuning Krejngan Probolinggo. Dan jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Adapun subjek dalam Penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah,guru ips, TU, dan siswa Kelas XI. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Peran guru IPS dalam menanamkan sikap empati dan kepedulian sosial siswa di kelas XI MA Sunan Ampel Kamalkuning Krejengan sudah bisa dikatakan bagus dalam menerapkannya kepada siswa.
Kata Kunci: Guru IPS, Sikap empati, kepedulian sosial.

Abstract
The background of this research is moral education which is a forum for printing the next generation of the nation who has good character. Traditional values that uphold morality are now gradually starting to shift along with the impact of the era of globalization and technology. This study aims to describe the role of social science teachers in instilling empathy and social care in students at MA Sunan Ampel Kamalkuning Krejngan Probolinggo. And this type of research uses field research using qualitative methods. The subjects in this study were the principal, social science teacher, TU, and class XI students. The results of this study indicate that the role of social science teachers in instilling empathy and social care in students in class XI MA Sunan Ampel Kamalkuning Krejengan can be said to be good in applying it to students.
