Optimalisasi Peran Perpustakaan di Desa Embung Kandong Kecamatan Terara Kabupaten Lombok Timur Nusa Tenggara Barat Guna Meningkatkan Literasi pada Masyarakat

Majunya suatu bangsa ditentukan oleh sampai mana masyarakat tingkat kesadaran dalam meningkatkat pengetahuannya. Peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat, dan juga pendidikan formal menjadi salah sati indikator kemajuan bangsa, disamping itu juga apa bila masyarakat mempunyai budaya literasi terus ditingkatkan. Perpustakan di desa embung kandong Kecamatan terata lombok timur ini sudah memiliki perpustakan tingkat desa, tapi selama ini keberadannya belum reprsentatif dalam mendorong masyarakat memanfaatkannya. Muali kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dari Tim Universitas Hamzanwadi Lombok Timur dilakaukan kegitan optimalisasi perpustakan desa dalam hal ini dilakaukan dengan método penatan ruanagan, tata letak buka, penabahn sistema perpustakan, sosialisasi perpustakan sebagai tempat yang menyenagkan, sehingga masyarakat dapat informasi serta pengetahuan yang meraka butuhkan dan pelastarian budaya atau wisata desa setempat.

Abstract

The progress of a nation is determined by the level of public awareness in increasing their knowledge. Increasing public knowledge, as well as formal education is one of the indicators of the nation's progress, besides that if the community has a literacy culture, it continues to be improved. The library in the village of Embung Kandong, Terata District, East Lombok already has a village level library, but so far its existence has not been representative in encouraging people to use it. Starting from the Community Service (PKM) activities from the Hamzanwadi University Team, East Lombok, village library optimization activities were carried out in this case with the method of room arrangement, open layout, library system enhancement, library socialization as a fun place, so that people can get information and knowledge they need and cultural preservation or local village tourism.
