Abstract
Indonesia has a strategic position as an archipelagic country located in the Indo-Pacific region. To take advantage of its strategic potential, Indonesia issued a Global Maritime Fulcrum Policy, which aims to strengthen the maritime sector as a key driver of the Indonesian economy. This study aims to determine Indonesia's contribution to facing threats in the Asia-Pacific region using the qualitative method of descriptive analysis. In the context of the Indo-Pacific region, the GMF Policy makes a significant contribution to regional stability and security, especially in carrying out regional cooperation. Indonesia, as the owner of most of the international shipping lanes in the region, plays an important role in maintaining maritime security and order and ensuring the smooth running of international trade. GMF policy also has an impact on the development of Indonesia's maritime economic sector and industry. Indonesia seeks to utilize the abundant marine resources in its territory to build a strong and sustainable maritime industrial sector. Indonesia is also trying to increase the competitiveness of its maritime products on the global market. Indonesia's contribution through the GMF Policy is very important in maintaining the stability and security of the Indo-Pacific region and strengthening Indonesia's maritime economic and industrial sectors.
