Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis data yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini merupakan data tulis dan data lisan, sedangkan data yang dimaksud yaitu mengenai ungkapan-ungkapan metaforis tentang narkoba dari segi penyalahgunaan dan praktik bisnis narkoba. Fokus penelitian saya yaitu pada penggunaan metafora tentang narkoba dan bagaimana proses konseptualisasi yang ada didalamnya. Metafora tidak hanya bagian dari gaya bahasa, tetapi dibalik itu terdapat cara dan proses berfikir ketika menghasilkan ungkapan yang mengandung metafora sehingga ada proses kognitif yang berlangsung ketika seseorang menghasilkan ungkapan metaforis. Sementara itu konvensi antara ranah sumber pada ranah target dihasilkan dengan cara melihat persamaan dan membandingan ciri, sifat, dan kategori diantara  keduanya.

Kata kunci: konseptualisasi metafora, linguistik kognitif.
