Publication Ethics
The Journal of Architecture Resilience and Innovations (JARI) upholds high ethical standards in all stages of the publication process. The journal follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure integrity, transparency, and responsible scholarly communication.
This ethical policy applies to authors, reviewers, editors, and all parties involved in the publication process.
1. Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts:
• Present original and unpublished work.
• Contain accurate, reliable data and proper citations.
• Avoid plagiarism, fabrication, or manipulation of data.
• Acknowledge all sources and contributors appropriately.
• Do not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
• Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Authors must revise their manuscripts responsibly based on reviewer and editor feedback.
2. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers play an essential role in maintaining publication quality. They are expected to:
• Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
• Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript content.
• Avoid conflicts of interest that may influence the review.
• Identify possible ethical issues such as plagiarism or duplicate publication.
Reviewers must decline review assignments if the manuscript lies outside their expertise.
3. Responsibilities of Editors
Editors ensure fairness and quality throughout the editorial process. They are responsible for:
• Making publication decisions based on academic merit and review quality.
• Ensuring a transparent, unbiased double-blind review process.
• Maintaining confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
• Addressing ethical complaints and suspected misconduct promptly.
Editors must not use unpublished material from submissions for their own research.
4. Ethical Oversight
JARI enforces ethical oversight for issues involving:
• Research involving human subjects.
• Conflicts of interest.
• Data integrity and academic honesty.
• Corrections, retractions, or withdrawal of articles when necessary.
The journal is committed to ensuring that all published work contributes responsibly to the advancement of architectural knowledge, resilience studies, and innovation in the built environment.
