Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.Author Guidelines
- The manuscript presents complete and original information and objective data.
- The source of the citation and references cited in the text must be informed.
- The manuscript is written concisely and clearly.
- Manuscripts that are sent, at the same time, are not sent to and have never been published in other journals.
- The authors must avoid counterfeiting (data and study results).
- Authors must avoid counterfeiting (manipulating research material, equipment, processes, changing data, or deliberately discarding data or results).
- Authors must avoid plagiarism (taking ideas, processes, results, or words without quoting sources).
- The author must avoid Fragmentation (breaking up research data into various themes of the manuscript so that the discussion cannot be in-depth)
- Manuscripts may not use material copied from other articles without permission.
- All material/citations obtained from previous studies, involving similar authors related to previous publications must be properly cited.
- For all texts, non-discriminatory language is mandatory. The term sexist or racist cannot be used.
- When using a stated or trademarked term or trademark, the author must use the ® or ™ symbol.
Publication Ethics
The Journal of Automotive Technology Vocational Education (JATVE) is firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. As a scholarly platform dedicated to vocational automotive education, we uphold integrity, transparency, and academic responsibility throughout the publication process. All parties involved—editors, authors, and reviewers—are expected to adhere to ethical guidelines based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Section A: Publication and Authorship

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process by qualified experts in the relevant field.

Review criteria include: relevance to vocational automotive education, methodological soundness, originality, clarity, significance, and language quality.

Editorial decisions may result in acceptance, revision, or rejection. A revised submission does not guarantee acceptance.

Rejected manuscripts will not be reconsidered.

Accepted papers must comply with legal standards regarding defamation, copyright, and plagiarism.

Duplicate publication is strictly prohibited.
Section B: Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been published elsewhere.

Manuscripts must not be under review by another journal.

Authors are expected to engage actively in the peer-review process and respond to feedback constructively.

All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research.

Authors must confirm that all data presented are authentic and reliable.

All sources of funding and references must be properly acknowledged.

Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed to the editorial team.

Authors are responsible for reporting any errors discovered post-publication and cooperating in issuing corrections or retractions.
Section C: Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential and must not share or use the content for personal gain.

Reviews should be objective, constructive, and free from personal bias or criticism.

Reviewers should identify relevant literature not cited by the authors.

Any substantial similarity with other published work must be reported to the editor.

Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist due to personal, professional, or institutional relationships.
Section D: Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors hold full authority to accept or reject manuscripts based on scholarly merit and relevance.

Editors are responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal’s content.

Editorial decisions must consider the interests of authors, readers, and the academic community.

Editors must ensure transparency in the review process and maintain reviewer anonymity.

Corrections, retractions, or clarifications must be issued when necessary.

Editors must verify that published research adheres to accepted ethical standards.

Editors are obliged to investigate suspected misconduct and pursue resolution with due diligence.

Decisions must be based on evidence, not suspicion, and editors must avoid conflicts of interest with any stakeholders.
