EKSISTENSI ETNIS TIONGHOA DI ERA GLOBALISASI

Abstrak
Tujuan penuliasan artikel ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui sejarah masuknya etnis tionghoa di Indonesia karena etnis tionghoa sudah ada ada di Indonesia lama sekali. (2) untuk mengetahui populasi etnis tionghoa di Indonesia, tercatat sampai saat ini ada sekitar 1-2 % dari populasi penduduk Indonesia. (3) untuk mengetahui peran etnis tionghoa baik di sector social budaya, perokonomian, politik, maupun pendidikan. Hasil penelitian yang didapat: (1) Orang dari Tiongkok daratan telah ribuan tahun mengunjungi dan mendiami kepulauan Nusantara. Menurut catatan dalam kitab sejarah Tiongkok, pada zaman Dinasti Han (tahun 131 M), sudah ada hubungan resmi antara Dinasti Han di Tiongkok dengan Yavadwipa di Indonesia. Pada abad ke-7 kerajaan Tang mulai ada hubungan kebudayaan dan keagamaan Budha dengan kerajaan Sriwijaya. Pada abad ke-15 masa Dinasti Ming, seorang muslim Tiongkok Zhenghe memimpin barisan kapal telah 3 kali mendarat di kerajaan Majapahit untuk menjalin hubungan perdagangan dan kebudayaan. Sejak itu banyak orang keturunan Tionghoa mulai merantau dan menetap di Nusantara. (2) Dalam sensus penduduk pada tahun 2000, ketika untuk pertama kalinya responden sensus ditanyai mengenai asal etnis mereka, hanya 1% atau 1.739.000 jiwa yang mengaku sebagai Tionghoa. (3) Memasuki abad ke-20, ranah hiburan dan seni budaya di Tanah Air disemarakkan oleh kehadiran seniman atau pegiat seni keturunan Tionghoa.di bidang pendidikan etnis tionghoa berperan dalam pembangunan Universitas Trisakti yang kini menjadi salah satu universitas terkenal di Indonesia juga merupakan salah satu sumbangsih warga Tionghoa di Indonesia.

Abstract
The purpose of this article is: (1) to know the history of the entry of ethnic Chinese in Indonesia because ethnic Chinese have existed in Indonesia for a long time. (2) to know the ethnic Chinese population in Indonesia, there is currently about 1-2% of the population of Indonesia. (3) to know the role of ethnic Chinese in the social culture, smoking, politics, and education sectors. The results of the study obtained: (1) People from mainland China have visited and inhabited the archipelago for thousands of years. According to records in Chinese history, during the Han Dynasty (131 AD), there was already an official relationship between the Han Dynasty in China and Yavadwipa in Indonesia. In the 7th century, the Tang kingdom began to have a Buddhist cultural and religious relationship with the Srivijayan kingdom. In the 15th century during the Ming Dynasty, a Chinese Muslim Zhenghe led a line of ships having three times landed in Majapahit kingdom to establish trade and cultural relations. Since then many people of Chinese descent began to wander and settle in the archipelago. (2) In the population census in 2000, when for the first time census respondents were questioned about their ethnic origin, only 1% or 1,739,000 people claimed to be Chinese. (3) Entering the 20th century, the realm of entertainment and cultural arts in the country is enlivened by the presence of artists or art activists of Chinese descent.in the field of ethnic Chinese education plays a role in the development of Trisakti University which is now one of the famous universities in Indonesia is also one of the contributions of Chinese people in Indonesia.
