PENGEMBANGAN PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN SEBAGAI PENDIDIKAN NILAI

Abstrak
Pendidikan kewarganegaraan adalah sebuah wahana studi untuk mengembangkan, melestarikan nilai-nilai luhur serta moral yang berasal dari budaya para leluhur bangsa Indonesia. Pendidikan kewarganegaraan sebagai Pendidikan nilai berarti pendidikan kewarganegaraan memuat pendidikan nilai, agar masyarakat dapat memahami dan berperilaku sesuai dengan pedoman nilai yang ada. Pendidikan kewarganegaraan sebagai pendidikan nilai akan mengantarkan warga negara untuk menjadi warga negara yang baik dan cerdas yang ditandai dengan terwujudnya sebuah warga negara yang baik, cerdas, partisipatif, dan bertanggung jawab. Pendidikan nilai adalah suatu penanaman serta pengembangan nilai-nilai untuk dikembangkan dalam kehidupan. Tujuan adanya pendidikan nilai adalah membentuk karakter dengan materi yang berhubungan dengan moralitas, dan nilai-nilai dalam kehidupan. Pendidikan nilai yang dapat diajarkan oleh anak-anak adalah mengenai hal sopan-santun, disiplin, rajin dan lain sebagainya.

Abstract
Citizenship education is a vehicle for study to develop, preserve noble and moral values derived from the culture of the ancestors of the Indonesian nation. Citizenship education as value education means that citizenship education contains value education, so that the public can understand and behave in accordance with existing value guidelines. Citizenship education as a value education will lead citizens to become good and intelligent citizens characterized by the realization of a good, intelligent, participatory, and responsible citizen. Value education is an planting and development of values to be developed in life. The purpose of value education is to form characters with materials related to morality, and values in life. Value education that can be taught by children is about manners, discipline, diligentness and so on.
