PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL INSTAGRAM PADA MATERI BUDAYA POLITIK GUNA MEMBANGUN CIVIC PARTICIPATION

Abstrak
Saat ini peserta didik lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu mereka untuk menggunakan internet melalui laptop maupun smartphone sejak pembelajaran jarak jauh diberlakukan. Semakin berkembangnya pembelajaran pembelajaran jarak jauh, maka peran media sosial juga sangat berpengaruh terhadap prestasi akademik peserta didik. Media sosial kini telah menjadi salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran PPKn. Salah satu media sosial yaitu Instagram menyediakan alternatif cara baru untuk peserta didik belajar mengemukakan gagasan dan berpendapat secara kritis. Pengoptimalan peran media sosial salah satunya Instagram sebagai media pembelajaran akan mengarahkan peserta didik menjadi pengguna media sosial yang bijak. Melalui pembelajaran PPKn tidak hanya sebagai proses pendidikan berpikir tetapi juga pendidikan nilai dan watak. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran PPKn, kualitas pembelajaran PPKn harus dapat mengembangkan civic knowledge, civic values, dan civic skill. Dengan mempelajari dan mempraktekkan secara langsung pada materi Budaya Politik mengarahkan peserta didik mampu memahami Civic Participation pada lingkungan sekitar itu seperti apa, sehingga upaya pembentukan karakter peserta didik sebagai warga negara bisa optimal meskipun dilakukan dengan pembelajaran secara online.

Abstract
Since distance learning was implemented, the students spent more of their time using the internet by laptops or smartphones. The development of distance learning it was making social media also greatly affects the academic achievement of students. The social media has become an alternative media for Pancasila and Civic Education learning nowdays. One of the social media, namely Instagram, provides an alternative new way for students to learn how express ideas and argue critically. Optimizing the role of social media, such as Instagram will direct students to become wise social media users. Through Pancasila and Civics Education learning, it is not only a thought education process but also values and character education. The implementing Pancasila and Civics Education learning must be able to develop civic knowledge, civic values, and civic skills. By studying and practicing directly on the material of Political Culture, it directs students to be able to understand what Civic Participation is, it is like surrounding environment, so that give so much efforts to form student’s character as good citizens, and they can be optimal eventhough by online learning.
