Abstract

Abstract

The mastery of technology in Indonesia defence industry, needs to be further developed. To increase the mastery of defense technology can be done by  the application of techno-nationalism concept. The concept itself has been widely promoted by several countries that proven to have a formidable Defense Industry such as Japan and China. In responses to this, an analysis was carried out using CDL in the form of archetypes, to facilitate the understanding of  main problems in the process of  technology mastery in Indonesian Defense Industry and to understand the development of techno-nationalism concept in Indonesia. Followed by a SWOT analysis to determine the type of strategy that can be used. Based on the results of the analysis, to deal with the low mastery of defense technology, it can be started by improving the quality of human resources along with proper human resource management processes. In addition, civil involvement in the defense industry is needed, as well as the production of products with dual use technology. It can be concluded that the application of techno-nationalism concept has an important role to encourage increased mastery of technology in the Defense Industry in Indonesia.
