Abstract
This article discusses the development of political dynasties in Indonesia and its impact on Pancasila democracy. The background of the discussion on the development of political dynasties in Indonesia in this research is due to the phenomenon of local level dynasties politics that developed in various regions in Indonesia, such as Banten, Bantul, Kendal, Probolinggo, Indramayu, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Papua, the Region Special Yogyakarta and Bali. In addition, the pros and cons of the emergence of dynastic politics reveal a new face for the political culture of the Indonesian people in politics and democracy. The dynasty's political strategy was used as a tool to secure power by placing family or relatives in certain posts in the formal (government) or informal (projects or business) fields. In the history of Indonesian government, there have been political dynasties for generations. If this continues, the dynastic politics will develop rapidly and the pros and cons will emerge in the midst of implementing a government based on Pancasila democracy. This study aims to determine the implementation of governance in Indonesia and to determine the influence of political dynasties on the development of Pancasila democracy in Indonesia.
