Financial Management Training in Pustaka Desa Wukirsari Yogyakarta

The objective of the research is to improve the financial management in Pustaka Desa Wukirsari through basic training about financial application that can be easily understood by pustaka desa managers. The method used in the research is qualitative approach with in-depth interview towards pustaka desa managers. The result shows the significant improvement in understanding and skill of the managers in transaction records and preparing financial reports. It shows that 90% of the participants are satisfied with the learning material, and 85% of the participants are able to operate financial application well following the training. Besides, the use of financial application has increased the efficiency of the management, reduced the time needed in preparing financial report from two days into one hour. Although there are challenges related to unusualness of the managers in using technology, this training is expected can provide long-term positive impact towards transparency and accountability of financial management in Pustaka Desa Wukirsari. The research did not receive any special grant from funding agency in public sector, commercial, nor non-profit.
