ABSTRAK
Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar IPS dan hasil belajar IPS melalui metode sosiodrama dengan 25 siswa kelas V SDN Pagebangan Karanggayam Kebumen Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 sebagai subjek penelitian. Prosedur penelitian dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan catatan lapangan. Kemudian, analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan metode sosiodrama dapat meningkatkan: 1) minat belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan kategori minat belajar baik dan sangat baik pada prasiklus 28%, meningkat menjadi 52% pada siklus I, 72% sikus II, dan 88% siklus III, 2) hasil belajar IPS siswa didasarkan pada persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM pada prasiklus 40%, siklus I 64%, siklus II 72,5%, dan siklus III menjadi 92%.

This classroom action research aims to improve critical thinking skills and IPS learning achievement through sociodrama method with 25 students of fifth grade SDN Pagebangan Karanggayam Kebumen, 2013/2014 as the subjects of research. The research procedure starts from planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The techniques of collecting data are observations, tests, and field notes. Then, data analyzed by quantitative descriptive technique. The results of research show that the application of sociodrama method can improve: 1) students learning interests which are shown by good and best students learning interests catagory in pre-cycle 28 %, increase to 52 % in 1st cycle, 72 % in 2nd cycle, and 88 % in 3rd cycle, 2) students learning outcomes that are based on students percentage of reaching KKM in pre-cycle 40%, in 1st cycle 64%, in 2nd cycle 72% and in 3rd cycle 92%.
