A INTER-ETHNIC RELATIONS IN BUILDING STUDENT CHARACTER

The aim of this research is to collect information regarding the importance of culture in the character learning process, with a focus on reflecting the diverse identities of junior high school students.The method used is a library search, with a qualitative approach, which is carried out to examine various sources such as journals, books, magazines and other literature. Apart from that, it is also how individuals or groups understand, interpret and give meaning to their experiences, as well as exploring the background, culture and social context of the research subject to gain a richer and more detailed understanding. The results of this research reveal that students' conditions are expected to reflect diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, culture, religion, language and class. Character education should be part of the reflection in every learning process, with the hope that students can apply the motto "Unity in Diversity" from the Indonesian nation. To apply the principles of character education, various strategies are needed such as discussion, observation, case studies, simulations and role playing. It can be concluded from this research that the process of character education with diversity. From this literature study, it can be concluded that the process of reflecting on diversity in the classroom involves three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation.
