About the Journal

The Journal of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Technology (JBEU) is a scientific journal managed by the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY). It aims to publish high-quality articles on the latest developments in Biomedical Engineering Technology. JBEU ensures that all submitted papers are original works, not previously presented or published elsewhere. Manuscripts undergo a thorough evaluation, adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining publishing standards. The journal is transparent, reviews submissions for scientific value, ensures non-discrimination, and evaluates content objectively without conflicts of interest. JBEU will publish about 25 manuscripts ONLY per issue (or about 150 manuscripts per year).

A submitted paper must be written in Indonesian or English to get the minimum criteria for the initial review stage by editors, and further review process by a minimum of two reviewers

 
 

Before Submission

The author has to ensure that the manuscript has been prepared using JBEU’s template following the author guidelines. The manuscript should also have been carefully proofread and similarity checked. Any manuscript that does not meet the author's guidelines, focus, and scope, is written in a different format, or has poor Bahasa or English, will be immediately rejected. The only manuscript which meets the JBEU standard will be processed further.

The Journal of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Technology (JBEU) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, case reports, and technical notes in biomedical engineering, biomimetics, biomaterials, and biomedical applications. The journal aims to provide a platform for disseminating high-quality and innovative research that advances the knowledge and practice of biomedical engineering and science.

JBEU invites authors to submit their manuscripts for the journal's upcoming issues. The journal publishes six issues per year, in February, April, June, August, October, and December. The journal accepts submissions on a rolling basis. The journal follows a rigorous and transparent peer review process and adheres to the highest ethical standards and best practices.

The journal welcomes submissions that cover, but are not limited to, the following topics:
